Electricians for Schools and Education in Surrey
DBS checked electricians working after school, at weekends and through the holidays so teaching is not interrupted.
About us
We are commercial electrical contractors working across Surrey. We work in businesses, schools, shops, offices and hospitality premises: buildings that have to keep operating while the electrical work happens. That single constraint shapes almost everything about how we run a job.
Registered & checked
Why we work this way
Ask any commercial client about a bad experience with an electrical contractor and you will rarely hear about incorrect work. You will hear that nobody turned up on the day, that the shop lost a trading afternoon nobody warned them about, that the certificate took six weeks to arrive, or that the job was priced for an empty building and carried out in a full one.
That is the gap we set out to work in. The electrical competence is the baseline. It is what registration and certification exist to demonstrate, and no client should have to think about it. What actually determines whether a job goes well is everything around it: understanding when your building is available, telling you honestly what will happen, and handing the space back in a state you can put people back into.
So the questions we ask at survey tend to be about your operation rather than your electrics. When do you open? Who has to sign this off? Which areas cannot lose power at the same time? Who is in the building while we are here? The answers change the price and the programme, and it is better to have them before you commit than halfway through.
We would rather have an awkward conversation about access at the quotation stage than a difficult one on site in week two.
Accreditations
Accreditation logos are easy to display and easy to overstate. Here is what each of ours actually means, including where the scope is narrower than the logo might suggest.

Being clear about scope
Nearly every contractor website lists what it can do. Rather fewer say where the edges are, which is at least as useful when you are deciding who to call.
Commercial premises are our specialism. This website is about commercial work, and that is where the great majority of our time goes. It is what we plan for, price for and staff for.
We are not gas or catering engineers. In a commercial kitchen we provide the electrical supply, the isolation and the controls, including the electrical side of the gas interlock. Commissioning and servicing the appliances themselves belongs to the specialists who supplied them.
We will refer complex fire systems work on. Where a building needs a fire engineering design or a third-party certificated fire systems design, we will tell you at the enquiry rather than take it on.
We will tell you when repairs are enough. If your installation does not need a rewire, we will say so, even where the larger job would be the more profitable recommendation.
Working with us
The same three steps whatever the premises and whatever the size of the work.
Send us the premises type, what you need doing and when you need it done. If you have drawings, a schedule or a previous report, send those too.
We look at the installation, agree the scope with you and put it in writing. You get an estimate you can take to whoever signs it off.
We agree dates that suit your operation, turn up when we said we would, and hand over the certification when the work is finished.
